Are you travelling to Australia or New Zealand? Why not stop off at Singapore for a few days as it is an amazing country and the best way to get there is by Singapore Airlines. The wheel moves very slowly and the very kind staff are able to briefly stop it rotating if you have disability concerns – they are very disability friendly.
Thankfully the haze caused by burning forests in Indonisa had gone by the time we arrived in Singapore. This meant we had spectacular views of Singapore, including the strange hotel with the boat on top, the Gardens by the Bay Green houses and the ships coming into Singapore Harbor.
Air Conditioning is everywhere in Singapore and you soon get used to the constant hum and buzz. The Sony PJ530 Video Camera tends to concentrate on whatever it thinks is the loudest noise and so emphasizes the air conditioning noise – its no where near as loud as what it sounds like in the video!
I bought my Seiko Astron GPS watch in the UK especially for this holiday trip to Singapore. The Astron worked incredibly well and was able to sync with the satelites, even when surrounded by Singapore’s very tall buildings. The review of the Seiko Astron GPS Solar Watch can be watched at
Each time we’ve been to Singapore, we always stay in the Grand Pacific Hotel as it has a good central location. It’s not as big as some hotels but the staff are really good, nice and friendly.
Singapore is a fantastic place to visit.
