After the relaxation and serenity of Bali, I was thrust into the craziness that is Singapore (admittedly worse than usual due to Chinese New Year coming up). It is truly a bustling metropolis – And frankly I wasn’t the hugest fan – I’m all about the island life!
Anyway, so heres some footage I shot while walking around. Places I mainly visited were Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, Chinatown, Little India and a few food centres (which I can’t recommend enough to those wanting to eat on a budget). My meals all up only cost around $40 with beer for the entire time I was there! The misconception that Singapore is expensive is not true. Be wise with your spending and its actually quite cost effective.
My hostel – Green Kiwi Backpackers was $30NZD per night (a little pricy for a hostel but I was happy to pay it. Meals are between S$2.00 and S$6.00 at Hawker Centres like Maxwell and Lau Pa Sat that I visited.
Its definitely worth a visit if you’re into cities.
